Oshara Village Update

Spring 2009

Oshara Village continues to grow and prosper in the face of challenging economic times. All Phase I roads and infrastructure are complete and the Oshara Plaza is hosting arts exhibits and community events. The town's water reclamation plant is operational and recycles water from all homes for reuse on the town's landscaping and other commercial uses. Around 20 families have moved in and that number should double by this summer. The first 40 homes are super-insulated, oriented for passive solar gain, use reclaimed water for landscaping and have energy-efficient appliances and lighting.

May 10, 2008 was an auspicious occasion as Oshara Village cut the ribbon on the new Rabbit Road Extension providing a direct connection to St. Francis Drive, now only 5 minutes away. The medians on New Village Avenue and Oshara Boulevard are landscaped and the entry at Willow Back Road and Richards Ave. is complete with entry monument, landscaping and a functioning roundabout.

There are around 20 homes available for immediate occupancy and Oshara is pleased to announce a new line of Build Green New Mexico Gold Standard Homes to be offered this summer with prices starting in the $270,000s.
