DANIEL BUCK
Daniel Buck has been building quality passive solar homes for 25 years. He began in Corrales in 1972, when passive solar design was just starting to take off in Northern New Mexico. After building several passive solar homes there, he moved to Santa Fe to work with the NM Solar Energy Association (NMSEA).
In 1994, Daniel Buck co-founded Living Structures, a company dedicated to the design and construction of energy and resource efficient homes. Under his leadership, Living Structures built the first Energy Star rated home ever in New Mexico. Fast forward to the present where Danny Buck has accepted Ed Mazria's 2030 challenge - that we as a community of architects, designers and builders start to produce buildings that reduce fossil fuel energy usage by 50% and work toward the day when all new and remodeled buildings be "carbon neutral" by 2030.
